These ridiculously pretty bowls look almost too good to eat, and quite honestly a little too complicated to make. We took on the challenge though, and found that it's much easier than it looks. The best thing about smoothie bowls is that they are completely customizable. Don't like walnuts? Sub for almond shavings or pecans. Want to add some cacao nibs on top? Go for it. This recipe is an easy, and tasty, option for those who are looking to give homemade smoothie bowls a shot. Very Berry Acai Smoothie Bowl The Smoothie: * This is made in a Magic Bullet, but any blender will do! * 2 scoops vanilla vegan protein powder (or any protein powder of your choice—for this recipe I recommend using vanilla) ¼ cup frozen raspberries ¼ cup frozen blueberries ½ banana 2 tbsp old fashion oats 1 tbsp acai powder 1 tbsp maca powder 1 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes ½ tbsp chia seeds 1 cup water Blend until well mixed. The Toppings: ½ banana, sliced ½ tbsp chia seeds ½ tbsp hemp seeds 1 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes 1 tbsp crushed walnuts Undoubtedly the easiest way to distribute the ingredients across the bowl is to transfer the measurement into your hand and sprinkle it over the smoothie.
